Council for National Parks
www.cnp.org.uk
The Client
CNP is the national charity that works to protect, promote and enhance the National Parks of England and Wales.
CNP is an umbrella of over 40 environmental and amenity groups and aims to give the voluntary sector a shared vision and voice on all National Park issues.
When CNP approached Webexpectations.com their online presence was extremely dated, badly organised and failed to present the charity as a leading voice on National Park issues. The decision was made to update the charity with a completley new web design.
Overview
After close consultation, a plan was developed for a complete overhaul with new branding, design and information architecture. The site's users were defined and concept designs developed for how the new site would look and feel.
A key consideration was the site's navigation – laying down the foundations for a logical menu structure that would allow for future growth.
Our Solution
The transformation has been dramatic, the new CNP website is a world apart from their old online presence, projecting the image a leading national charity on National Park issues.
CNP staff are able to manage and update the site themselves using Comma5 Content Management Software. Comma5 allows authorised staff to edit the sites photographs, textual and news stories independently.
The client has been so pleased with the results they are currently planning phase two of the project. This includes an automated donation payment process and an online discussion forum.
